Le Bal
The project concentrates all programmatic constraints (reception, restaurant, administration, circulation, etc.) on the first structural bay of the building. The goal was to completely free up the 300m² of exhibition space spread over two levels, which constitute the heart of the project, making it as legible and modular as possible. The volumes are deliberately simple and neutral, in order to not compete with the photographs. On the first floor, a 120m² rectangular room under a 1930 glass roof, and in the basement, a 230m² rectangular room, double-height, for the presentation of large formats. These different worlds create a diversity that encourages visitors to extend their experience throughout the building, in search of new sensations and emotions.
