Watersports Center Les Marquisats, Annecy
Annecy’s watersports center and spa « Les Marquisats »’s project will rise on a site with outstanding natural qualities on the outskirts of the city center surrounded by Lake Annecy. This new equipment tends to create a sports and leisure area suitable to the scale of the city.
The project is based on a structuring architectural bias that optimizes its integration into the landscape: the elevation of the pools creates new perspectives and a new dialogue between the water of the lake and the water of the pools. This horizontally treated elevation gives open wide angle views of the lake and mountains from the inside.
From the overhanging hillsides, the green roofs are visually integrated in the site connecting with the adjacent solarium and in harmony with the genuine beauty of the panorama.
In the wellness area, relaxation pools, spas, saunas, steam rooms, massage areas are aranged in clusters separated by glass facing the lake to enhance the users’ experience and create a unique well-being bubble of relaxation.
